Promotional pricing: We may offer discounted prices from time to time. Any promotional price in effect at the time of your purchase will be clearly displayed on the website before you pay. The prices above are our standard rates. Promotional pricing does not affect these terms in any other way.
Guided Plan: If you buy the Guided Plan, you also agree to the Guided Plan coaching terms in Section 4, in addition to the rest of these Terms.
Billing and payment
All payments are processed securely by Stripe Inc. By providing your payment details, you authorise Stripe to charge your chosen payment method for the applicable amount. We do not store your card details. All prices are inclusive of VAT where applicable.
Monthly subscriptions renew automatically each month on the same date as your original purchase unless cancelled before the renewal date. 3-month and 6-month plans renew at the end of each paid period unless cancelled. If a qualifying first failure earns the free six-month extension, we stop the next normal renewal; if a renewal was taken while you awaited that result, we refund that renewal when the extension is approved. Guided Plan can be bought in one payment or three fixed monthly instalments. The first instalment is taken at checkout, after you choose your coach, followed by two further monthly payments of the same amount. The checkout review states the amount of each payment, the total and your access period. There is no fourth payment. A separately agreed private offer may have its own access end date, shown for that account before checkout. You will receive a receipt by email for every payment taken.
Price changes
We reserve the right to change our prices at any time. Where a price change affects an active recurring subscription, we will give you at least 30 days' written notice by email before the new price takes effect. Continuing to use the platform after that date constitutes acceptance of the new price. A Guided Plan price change does not alter your agreed purchase total.
Promo codes
Promotional codes, including codes offering free access, may be issued at our discretion. They are subject to any conditions stated at the time of issue, are non-transferable, have no cash value, and cannot be combined with other offers. We reserve the right to withdraw a promotional code at any time.
4Guided Plan Coaching Terms
If you buy the Guided Plan, you also agree to this section. The rest of these Terms still apply. For a plain-English walkthrough of how coaching works, see How Guided Plan coaching works.
What you are buying
Whether you pay in one payment or three fixed monthly instalments, the standard Guided Plan includes:
- The same paid platform access as Self-Study through two SQE1 sittings
- A kick-off session with your coach, which is not counted in your 20 hours
- 20 hours of live one-to-one exam-prep coaching
- A written Personal Exam Plan within three working days of your kick-off, which your coach updates with you
- Written feedback on your weekly check-in, by the next working day
- Messaging support, answered within one working day, Monday to Friday
- The Second-Sitting Top-Up described below
The one-payment option does not renew. The three-instalment option collects only three fixed payments, with the first at checkout after coach choice, then stops. The payment schedule does not extend platform access: standard Guided access ends after the second included SQE1 sitting. A separately agreed private offer may have a different access end date stated for that account before checkout. Your statutory rights are unchanged.
Of the standard Guided price, the platform portion is £500 and the coaching portion is £1,000. During the 50% launch offer they are £250 and £500. The split is the same whether you pay in full or in three instalments. Separately agreed private offers follow their own written terms.
How the two sittings are counted
Access starts on the date of purchase, not on the date of your first coaching session. The first included sitting is the next SQE1 sitting whose FLK assessment window has not yet begun when you buy. The second is the immediately following SQE1 sitting. Standard access runs until the end of that second sitting's FLK assessment window; a private offer may state a different agreed end date at checkout. You should book your kick-off promptly after choosing your coach.
Sitting dates are based on the SRA's published assessment calendar. For standard two-sitting access, if the SRA changes an included assessment window, we may update your access end date to follow the revised window, but we will not reduce the number of included sittings. A private offer's agreed access end date remains as stated at checkout.
What coaching is
Coaching is practical SQE1 exam-preparation support. It covers exam technique, planning and using your study time, reviewing your progress, and discussing the legal rules and applications behind mistakes in practice questions during live calls.
It is not a taught law course, not legal advice, not a solicitor–client relationship, and not SRA-authorised training. Your coach will not advise on live client matters or on whether you should qualify. Coaching does not guarantee that you will pass.
Guided includes the limited platform-fee refund described in Section 6 if you do not pass at either included sitting and meet its conditions. No coach or course can guarantee an exam result.
How coaching is delivered
Coaching is one-to-one and held online on Google Meet. You are responsible for having a suitable device, internet connection, and a quiet place to join.
You choose an available approved coach before purchase. Every coach has passed SQE1. Sessions take place at times you and your coach agree. We may change which coach works with you if we need to (for example illness or availability), and you can ask for a different coach. A change of coach does not reduce your remaining hours, and your shared plan (in your Coaching panel once it is available) carries over.
What counts towards your 20 hours
Only live calls count, at their booked length. The kick-off does not count, and it can run longer than planned if you need it to. How the 20 hours are used is agreed between you and your coach and can change as you go. Your written plan, weekly written feedback, messages, and any catch-up call your coach offers when you fall behind do not count. If your coach joins late or ends a call early, only the time delivered is counted.
Messaging is for planning, exam technique and keeping you on track. It is not for teaching law topics, which the platform covers. A question that needs more than about 10 minutes will be moved to your next call.
Your bookings
If you miss an agreed session, or cancel it with less than 24 hours' notice, that time is used and is deducted from your 20 hours. The first time this happens in each included sitting because you are ill or have an emergency, we will not deduct it. After that, the time is deducted whatever the reason, including if you could not join because of your own device or connection.
If you want to stop coaching early, contact us while your Guided access is active. We will calculate a refund for unused original hours as set out below. If you simply do not book and do not cancel, the hours expire when access ends after the second included sitting, unless we agree otherwise in writing.
Our bookings
If we cancel a session (including because your coach is ill), that time is not deducted. We will offer a replacement session on Google Meet. If we cannot provide the remaining coaching with reasonable care and within a reasonable time, you are entitled to a fair refund for the coaching not delivered.
Extra hours
The 20 hours are the hours included in the plan. Any extra hours are only by mutual agreement. They may be charged separately and may fall after the two-sitting access period if we both agree that in writing. We never charge for extra hours automatically.
Second-Sitting Top-Up
If you do not pass SQE1 at your first included sitting, we will add 8 hours of live one-to-one coaching and a new study plan for your second included sitting, as long as all of these apply:
- you sat the paper or papers you still needed at your first included sitting
- you did not pass at least one of them, as shown by your official SRA result notification
- you attended at least 80% of the calls scheduled before that sitting, or moved them with at least 24 hours' notice
- you sent at least 80% of your weekly check-ins between your kick-off and that sitting (up to two agreed break weeks are not counted)
- you completed at least 4 timed mock sessions on the platform before that sitting, including at least 2 for FLK1 and 2 for FLK2
- you claim by emailing hello@sqecracker.com with a copy of your result notification within 45 days of receiving it
Top-up hours have no cash value, cannot be transferred, and expire when your platform access ends. This coaching benefit is separate from the limited platform-fee refund in Section 6.
Cooling-off and refunds
You have 14 days from purchase to cancel without giving a reason, as set out in Section 5 (Cancellation and Refunds).
Because Guided Plan includes both instant platform access and coaching:
- if you access paid platform content during those 14 days, you agree that digital supply has started
- if a coaching session has already taken place, you agree that the coaching service has started
If you cancel within 14 days after supply has started, we will apply your statutory rights and make only deductions the law permits for what we have already supplied. After 14 days, exam failure by itself does not refund coaching. If you cancel coaching while access is active, we value unused original live hours at £25 per hour under the launch offer or £50 per hour at the standard price. Your refund cannot exceed the coaching portion you have paid less the value of hours already delivered or properly deducted for a missed session. We will cancel or adjust remaining instalments and explain any platform access you keep before settling the account. Bonus top-up hours have no cash value. Your statutory rights if we fail to deliver remain unchanged.
Ask us to cancel coaching before access expires so we can account for unused hours. Closing your account alone does not cancel instalments or start a refund claim.
Conduct
Sessions are for your personal study only. You must not record a session without our prior agreement, and you must not share coaching materials or recordings. The SRA requires candidates to keep SQE assessment content confidential, so neither you nor your coach will share or discuss the content of real SQE questions you have sat. We may end coaching if you seriously breach these Terms, including abusive behaviour or account sharing. Any refund then remains subject to your statutory rights and a fair assessment of services supplied and losses caused by the breach.
Your data
To deliver coaching we will share relevant account and study-progress information with your assigned coach, and we will use third-party tools as needed, including our booking tool and Google Meet. That use is covered by our Privacy Policy.
5Cancellation and Refunds
Your statutory right to cancel
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you normally have 14 calendar days from an online purchase to cancel without giving a reason. Your rights depend on the kind of content and services supplied and any supply you expressly request during that period.
If you request immediate access to digital content or ask for coaching to start during those 14 days, we may make a deduction only where the law permits it and the required information and consent have been given. Accessing the platform does not remove any statutory remedy for faulty content or services that are not delivered with reasonable care.
If you bought the Guided Plan, its cooling-off, unused coaching hours and missed-session rules are in Section 4 (Guided Plan Coaching Terms). Where this section describes a different cancellation or refund outcome, Section 4 governs Guided Plan purchases.
Cancellation after the cooling-off period
After the cooling-off period, an unused Self-Study period is not normally refunded merely because you choose to stop studying. Section 6 gives eligible 6-month buyers an additional pass guarantee. Guided unused coaching hours and its platform-fee guarantee are explained in Sections 4 and 6. Your statutory rights always remain available.
- Monthly subscribers may cancel at any time to prevent future billing. Access continues until the end of the current billing period.
- 3-month and 6-month subscribers who cancel after the cooling-off period retain access until the end of their purchased period but are not entitled to a partial refund.
- Guided Plan can be paid for in one payment or three fixed monthly instalments. The first instalment is due at checkout after you choose your coach; collection stops after the third. Cooling-off, missed sessions, unused hours, and coaching refunds are set out in Section 4 (Guided Plan Coaching Terms).
How to cancel
To cancel a Self-Study subscription, log into your account and follow the cancellation steps in your account settings, or email us at hello@sqecracker.com. To cancel a Guided Plan purchase during the cooling-off period, email us at the same address. We will confirm cancellation by email within two business days.
Refunds under our statutory obligations: Where you are legally entitled to a refund (for example, a refund under the 14-day cooling-off right where content has not been accessed, or where we have materially failed to deliver the service), we will process the refund to your original payment method within 14 days of confirming your entitlement.
6Pass Guarantee
6-month Self-Study: If you do not pass at a sitting during your first paid six-month period, tell us within 45 days of your result. We will provide six additional months of platform access at no charge, extending it further if needed to cover the immediately following SQE1 sitting and its results date. We will stop the normal renewal charge for that free period. If you also do not pass at that next sitting and meet the conditions below, we refund the amount you paid for the original eligible six-month period: £115 under the launch offer or £230 at the standard price. We do not refund SRA exam fees.
Standard Guided: Your access already covers two included SQE1 sittings. If you do not pass at either and meet the conditions below, we refund the platform portion actually paid, up to £250 under the launch offer or £500 at the standard price. The coaching portion (£500 launch or £1,000 standard) and SRA exam fees are outside this pass guarantee. Unused coaching hours and statutory refunds are dealt with separately in Section 4.
- You sit the SQE1 paper or papers you still need at the first eligible sitting after purchase and at the immediately following sitting. Passing one FLK paper but not the other still counts as an unsuccessful SQE1 sitting; at the second sitting you need only resit the outstanding paper.
- After buying the eligible plan, you complete at least six full timed SQE1 mocks before the first sitting and four further full timed mocks after it and before the second. For each sitting, a full mock means both 85-question sessions for every FLK paper you still need, with every question answered. That is four sessions if you need both FLKs, or two if you have already passed one. Completed retakes of the same question set do not count as additional mocks.
- On your last complete mock before each sitting, you score at least 65% on each FLK paper you still need to pass, combining its two sessions. This is a platform mock score, not an SRA pass mark or a prediction of your exam result.
- You send the official SRA result notification for each sitting to hello@sqecracker.com within 45 days of receiving each result. We verify the mock sessions from your account; you do not need to submit screenshots.
- Your account has not been suspended for serious misuse, such as account sharing or extracting question content. We will not refuse a valid claim because our platform could not supply the required mock sessions.
Scope: The guarantee applies to the first paid six-month Self-Study period and standard Guided purchases. It does not apply to Monthly, 3-month or separately negotiated private plans unless their offer expressly says so. It is one extension and, if earned, one refund per purchase. We do not promise that any candidate will pass SQE1.
We will check valid claims against your SRA results and our completed mock record and tell you the outcome in writing. Valid refunds go to the original payment method within 14 days of approval. If the SRA postpones a sitting, grants a deferral or delays results, contact us; we will adjust dates reasonably so the guarantee is still usable. No condition in this section limits your statutory rights.

8Our Content and Intellectual Property
All content on SQE Cracker, including but not limited to MCQ questions, answer explanations, mock exams, cheat sheets, flashcards, study notes, topic clusters, and AI-generated responses, is owned by or licensed to SQE Cracker and is protected by UK copyright law and other applicable intellectual property rights.
Nothing in these terms transfers any intellectual property rights to you. Your subscription gives you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, personal licence to access and use the platform content solely for your own SQE1 study during your subscription period. This licence ends when your subscription ends or your account is closed.
Any feedback, suggestions, or ideas you submit to us about the platform may be used by us freely and without any obligation to you.
9AI Tutor Disclaimer
Our platform includes an AI-powered study tutor ("AI Tutor"). The AI Tutor is designed to support your understanding of SQE1 topics and is not a substitute for qualified legal advice, professional mentorship, or formal legal education.
- The AI Tutor may occasionally produce responses that are incomplete, inaccurate, or out of date. You should not rely solely on AI Tutor responses for your exam preparation.
- The AI Tutor does not make any decisions about your ability to pass the SQE1 or your suitability for legal practice.
- Responses from the AI Tutor do not constitute legal advice and should not be treated as such.
- We review and update our content regularly but we do not warrant that it reflects the most recent changes in law or SRA guidance at all times.
It is your responsibility to verify the accuracy of information and to keep up to date with any changes to the SQE1 syllabus or assessment criteria published by the SRA.
10Our Liability to You
What we are responsible for
If we fail to deliver the platform service with reasonable care and skill, or if our digital content is not of satisfactory quality, you may have rights to a repair, replacement, or refund under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
What we are not responsible for
To the extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for:
- Your results in the SQE1 examination or any other assessment. Passing the exam depends on your own preparation, effort, and performance on the day.
- Any indirect, consequential, or special losses arising from your use of the platform, including loss of earnings, loss of opportunity, or costs incurred as a result of failing the SQE1
- Loss of data or interruption to service caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including power failures, internet outages, or third-party service disruptions
- The content or practices of any third-party websites or services linked from our platform
- Any loss arising from your failure to comply with these terms, including loss arising from account sharing
Educational disclaimer: SQE Cracker is an exam preparation tool. Completion of our platform does not guarantee qualification, employment, or any specific outcome. Coaching is exam-technique and planning support only. The pass guarantee in Section 6 provides defined support and a conditional refund; it is not a promise that you will pass.
11Changes to These Terms and Our Service
Changes to the terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Where changes are material, we will notify you by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the platform after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
We will always keep the current version of these terms available at sqecracker.com/terms with the "last updated" date shown at the top.
Changes to the service
We may update, modify, or remove features of the platform at any time. We will always endeavour to give reasonable notice of significant changes. We will not remove access to the core study features during an active paid subscription period without providing a pro-rata refund for the remaining period.
Termination by us
We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms, if we reasonably suspect fraudulent activity, or if we are required to do so by law. Where we terminate for breach, no refund will be provided. Where we terminate for any other reason, we will provide a pro-rata refund for unused subscription time.
Termination by you
You may close your account at any time by contacting us at hello@sqecracker.com. Closing your account will not automatically entitle you to a refund unless you are within the statutory cooling-off period and have not accessed premium content.
12Governing Law and Disputes
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the law of England and Wales. Any dispute arising in connection with these terms or your use of SQE Cracker shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
Before pursuing any formal legal action, we encourage you to contact us at hello@sqecracker.com to allow us the opportunity to resolve the matter informally. We aim to respond to all complaints within five business days.
These terms do not affect any rights you have as a consumer under the law of England and Wales that cannot be varied by contract.
13Referral Programme
SQE Cracker runs a referral programme that lets you earn a cash reward when a friend you refer takes out an eligible paid subscription. By requesting a referral link or accepting a reward, you agree to this section in addition to the rest of these terms.
How it works
- You request a personal referral link by submitting your name and email on our referral page. The link is reusable and can be shared with as many friends as you like.
- Your friend must use your link (or enter your referral code) when they sign up and subscribe to an eligible Self-Study plan (monthly, 3-month, or 6-month). Free Preview sign-ups do not qualify.
- If the referral qualifies, you earn £20 per successful referral. There is no fixed limit on how many friends you may refer.
When a referral qualifies
A referral only becomes payable when all of the following are true:
- Your friend has subscribed to Self-Study and their cumulative net payments to us are strictly more than £20 (amounts paid minus any refunds, counting only successful, non-disputed GBP charges).
- Their subscription is still active (or trialling) at the time we assess eligibility.
- At least 14 days have passed since their first qualifying payment (the cooling-off period).
- The referral is not a self-referral. You may not refer yourself, including by using another email address or account that belongs to you.
- Returning subscribers who already have prior paid invoices with us on the same payment customer are not eligible to generate a new referral reward.
When we pay you
We process the £20 payout one month after your friend has subscribed and paid us, provided the referral has fully qualified under the rules above (including the 14-day cooling-off period and the net payment requirement).
When a reward becomes payable, we email you a private link to submit UK bank details (account name, sort code, and account number). Payouts are made manually to a UK current account only. The private link expires after a limited period and rotates once you submit your details; do not share it with anyone else. We may ask you to request a fresh link if the previous one has expired.
Refunds, cancellations, and voids
- If your friend cancels before the reward becomes payable, or if a refund or payment dispute means the referral no longer meets the eligibility rules, unpaid rewards (pending or payable) are voided and will not be paid.
- If a refund or dispute arises after we have already paid you, we may review the case and take reasonable steps to recover the reward where appropriate.
- Promotional discounts on your friend's first billing period (for example a launch offer) do not change these rules: the net amount they pay us must still be strictly more than £20 before a reward can become payable.
Abuse and scheme changes
- We may refuse, delay, or claw back a reward where we reasonably suspect fraud, abuse, self-referral, or manipulation of the programme.
- We may change, suspend, or end the referral programme at any time. Changes will not remove a reward that has already been marked as paid, but they may affect pending or future referrals.
- Questions about referrals or payouts: hello@sqecracker.com.
14Mockathon Waitlist
Mockathon is a planned in-person SQE1 practice day. It is not finalised. This section applies if you join the Mockathon waitlist, which you confirm by ticking the box on the waitlist form.
- Joining the waitlist tells us you are interested. It is not a booking, a ticket or a reserved seat, and it does not oblige you or us to do anything.
- The dates, venue, format, number of places and every other detail may change while the event is planned.
- We reserve the right to change or cancel Mockathon at any time. If we cancel it, we will tell everyone who has joined the waitlist by email, using the address they gave us.
- No price or fee is agreed by joining, and nothing is paid through the waitlist. We will contact you later about the price and all other details. You would only pay if you choose to buy a place, and we will send you the terms for that first.
- The prize, its rules and who can win it will be confirmed with the event details, and we may change them before then.
- Please do not book travel or accommodation until you hold a confirmed place. The event may change or be cancelled, and we cannot cover costs you choose to incur before then.
- Sending proof of your SQE1 registration is optional. We handle it as described in our privacy notice.
- Mockathon is independent of the SRA and Pearson VUE and is not an official assessment.
How we use your details is in the privacy notice.
15Coach Applications
This section applies if you apply to coach with SQE Cracker. You confirm it by ticking the consent box on the application form. The coach terms you accept before you submit, including how coaching is delivered and paid, are shown to you at that point.
- You must have passed SQE1. We ask for the month you passed, your languages, your country, time zone and weekly availability, and your CV, so we can check that you are eligible and match you with candidates. LinkedIn is optional.
- Everything you tell us must be true. We may ask for evidence of your SQE1 pass, and we may decline or end an application if what you told us is inaccurate.
- Your CV and application details are seen only by authorised SQE Cracker staff. They are not shown on your public coach profile.
- Applying is not an offer of work. We may accept or decline any application, and we do not have to give a reason. Approval does not guarantee that you will be assigned any candidates or any number of hours.
- If your application is unsuccessful, we delete your CV within a week. If you are approved, we keep your CV for six months after you stop coaching with us, then delete it. You can ask us to delete it sooner by emailing hello@sqecracker.com.
How we use and protect your details is in the privacy notice.
